That was my first thought when I saw the unusual white houses with pointed roofs for the first time \u2013 the place looked like a movie set or an Italian Disneyland. The houses with pointed roofs, known as the Trulli of Alberobello, have a very unique architecture. I honestly thought it would be hard to top those places. All of these locations are so beautiful and so different \u2013 that&#8217;s what I love about Italy; there is so much to see and always something new. So, I was pretty sure that after our Amalfi-Calabria-Apulia tour, nothing would leave me in awe. That is, until I saw Alberobello! Of course, I had looked at photos online beforehand, but it&#8217;s a completely different experience when you&#8217;re right in the middle of this white fairytale town, rather than just seeing it in pictures. Some Trulli have regular front doors, nameplates, and mailboxes. I wondered what it must be like to live in such a Trullo. Do they order pizza delivery and watch Netflix here too? What is it like to live in the middle of a tourist attraction? I found it hard to imagine, especially since most Trulli are one-room houses, and some of them are 300 years old. Under each roof, there&#8217;s only one room, and if a Trullo has several rooms, it also has several pointed domes. On the roofs, you can often see white ornaments in the form of mystical, religious symbols, or zodiac signs. I was particularly impressed by the textiles in Alberobello \u2013 handmade tablecloths, scarves, and shawls. I love bringing home decorations or textiles from my travels! Here, I bought many kitchen towels with Trulli ornaments. The shopping options in Alberobello are very extensive: from souvenirs to local wines and liqueurs, sweets, and all kinds of pasta and spaghetti. In one store, located in the center of the Trulli area, you can climb a small staircase up to a rooftop terrace. However, you need to buy something in the store first, and by showing your receipt, you&#8217;re allowed to go up.
