Teddy Coat | The Cozy Trend for the Cold Season
The teddy coat is still fully on-trend, even though it’s been around since 2017 when Max Mara made the Teddy Coat a must-have. I especially love Max Mara’s teddy coat in caramel, but I found another version in beige that has become my absolute favorite piece in my wardrobe. It’s so soft, cozy, and ultra-warm. I always wear it open, just like in the pictures, because otherwise, it quickly gets too warm. Plus, it looks more casual that way 😊
HOW TO STYLE A TEDDY COAT
The teddy coat should be paired with minimal clothing and accessories to let it stand out and not be overshadowed by other bold pieces. I pair mine with black because it perfectly complements the beige color of the coat. In my opinion, I wouldn’t combine the teddy coat with colorful accessories either, as the coat itself is the centerpiece of the outfit, and bright or patterned pieces could create a visual conflict. Black accents give it a refined, designer touch.
But I did make one change to the coat: I replaced the original brown buttons, which I didn’t like much, with gold ones — I bought them right after purchasing the coat. Gold elements add a touch of glamour to the outfit and elevate the overall composition.
To balance the fluffy coat and its gold accessories, like the buttons or the chain on the bag, I wear everything with Dr. Martens, which makes the look absolutely perfect!
