Filmfest Munich
There are dreams—you hardly believe they could ever come true. For example, standing on the Red Carpet. I don’t mean the rug at home in the hallway, but the real red carpet at a film festival. With tons of journalists, photographers, flashes, and everything that goes with it. I never would have thought that one day I’d experience exactly that, but when I received the invitation to the Filmfest Munich from the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, I literally jumped with joy! Wow! My dream had come true!

The invitation mentioned that after the film screening and Terry Gilliam’s appearance, a gala dinner awaited us at the hotel. OMG! A dress! I desperately needed a dress! I could have probably found something suitable in my closet, but I wanted to wear something special for the film festival! Not as extravagant as at the Cannes Film Festival, but definitely something memorable. I didn’t have much time to go shopping — there were only two days left until the festival. So, I ordered several dresses online from stores that offered fast delivery. Then, a huge box of dresses arrived, and I immediately found the perfect one: black, elegant, with a deep but not too daring neckline. Below the picture are my favorite dress and accessory picks for special events.

And then, everything was just like in a movie. After the reception at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, a chauffeur drove us to the Filmfest. When I saw the Red Carpet, my heart raced like never before in my life. A minute later, I was standing on it, surrounded by cameras and flashes. That was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life, although in the first few seconds, I thought I was going to faint! When you’re on the Red Carpet for the first time in your life, and all eyes are on you, it feels like jumping into cold water. The good thing was: after that, nothing could scare me anymore — I was never nervous again, neither before important meetings nor in front of the camera. Once you’ve experienced such a storm of flashes, you have nothing left to fear 🙂

Afterward, we watched the film The Man Who Killed Don Quixote with Olga Kurylenko and Adam Driver, whom I didn’t know before and saw for the first time in this movie. Director Terry Gilliam told funny stories on stage, and it was very entertaining, nice, and charming, as if an old friend was telling jokes.

After the screening, we went back to the hotel for a gala dinner in an incredibly beautiful hall. I was so happy to have received this invitation, to see everything with my own eyes, and to stand on the red carpet myself! I love going to the cinema — especially during the colder months. But this wasn’t just a cinema, nor was it a dream — it was another incredible story from my life that I’m so happy to share with you on this blog.

A heartfelt thank you to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof for the invitation to Filmfest Munich! ❤️
